What Is The Wedding and Hire Car Association
The Wedding Hire and Car Association of Victoria was set up in 1980 to provide specialised transport for the wedding car industry. Members of the Association are bound by a Code of Ethics, which guarantees you quality vehicles and service.
Are all Wedding and Hire Car Association members fully licensed chauffeurs?
All members are fully licensed chauffeurs through the Victorian Government and are properly certified for their vehicle classification. Every member’s vehicle is also licensed by the Victorian Government as a hire car.
Can I view a vehicle before making a booking?
Yes. All Wedding and Hire Car Association members offer and encourage you to view their vehicle/s in person prior to booking.
Are all vehicles hire through the Wedding and Hire Car Association insured?
All member’s vehicles are insured and have a Wedding and Hire Car Association logo, so you know your vehicle hire requirements are being handled by proven professionals. Every member’s vehicle is also licensed by the Victorian Government as a hire car.
What happens if I need to cancel a booking?
Contact the member you have made the booking with as soon as possible. As part of the Wedding and Hire Car Association’s Code Of Ethics, all members must fairly consider refund of deposits if a booking is cancelled.
Can the price of my hired vehicle change after being booked?
No. As part of the Wedding and Hire Association’s Code Of Ethics, all members must honour the rates agreed at the time of booking – unless the client wants to make changes.
Will I get the actual vehicle I booked for my event?
Yes. As part of the Wedding and Hire Car Association’s Code Of Ethics, all members are required to provide the actual vehicles booked – unless notified about unforeseen mechanical reasons. Viewings of all cars are encouraged and can be organised with each member before making a booking.
Will my vehicle and chauffeur be professionally presented for my event?
Yes. As part of the Wedding and Hire Car Association’s Code Of Ethics, all members pledge to provide excellence in service, presentation and reliability. All vehicles are professionally maintained and serviced, with all chauffeurs appropriately dressed for the occasion. Each member’s dress code listed under their member’s listing on this site.
